Liverpool, who still face Leicester later on Sunday, needed an Arsenal defeat to stand a chance of clinching a record-equalling 20th league title. But the Gunners, fresh off their Champions League semi-final qualification, showed no signs of fatigue.
Leandro Trossard opened the scoring before Gabriel Martinelli doubled the lead following a slick move involving Bukayo Saka and Mikel Merino. Ipswich’s hopes further diminished after Leif Davis received a straight red for a reckless challenge on Saka, who escaped injury but was substituted early in the second half as a precaution.
Trossard bagged his second after a clever corner routine, and Ethan Nwaneri’s deflected effort capped off a dominant performance. The result all but confirms Ipswich’s relegation, as they sit 15 points from safety with just five games remaining.
Chelsea Snatch Late Win at Fulham
At Craven Cottage, Chelsea staged a late turnaround to defeat Fulham 2–1. Alex Iwobi gave Fulham an early lead, capitalising on Ryan Sessegnon’s assist after overpowering Reece James.
However, 19-year-old Tyrique George sparked Chelsea’s comeback with a fine strike in the 83rd minute, before Pedro Neto sealed the win with a thunderous stoppage-time goal. The Blues now sit fifth, ahead of Nottingham Forest on goal difference.
Wolves Stun Man United at Old Trafford
Manchester United, fresh from their Europa League win over Lyon, fielded a rotated squad and suffered their eighth home league defeat of the season. In a lacklustre contest, Pablo Sarabia’s superb free-kick was the difference, giving Wolves a vital win.
The victory marks Wolves’ fifth straight league triumph, moving them up to 15th, level on points with United, who stay 14th on goal difference.
