Nigerian music legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has officially introduced his fiancée, Honourable Natasha Osawaru, to the Idoma traditional leadership and his hometown community.
The formal introduction took place on Monday during the Idoma Nation Peace and Unity Symposium at the Och’Idoma Palace in Otukpo. Dressed in traditional Idoma attire, 2Baba presented Osawaru, the former Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, to His Royal Majesty, the Och’Idoma V, and other prominent members of the Idoma community.
Following the palace ceremony, the couple proceeded to Okpokwu, 2Baba’s ancestral hometown in Benue State. There, the music icon introduced Osawaru to local elders and community members, seeking their blessing and reaffirming his commitment to her.
This public introduction follows 2Baba’s recent proposal to Osawaru, shortly after he announced his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia. In a viral video, 2Baba expressed his admiration for Osawaru, describing her as a “young, brilliant, and amazing woman,” further solidifying their relationship.
The couple’s ceremony marks a new chapter for 2Baba, who has long been a key figure in the Nigerian music scene.
