Labour Party to APC: Prepare to Leave Aso Rock in 2027

Date:

The Chairman of the Labour Party (LP) in Ogun State, Apagun Olaolu Samuel, has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government to begin its exit plans ahead of the 2027 general elections, citing growing public dissatisfaction with insecurity, hunger, and economic hardship in the country.

Speaking during a press conference in Abeokuta over the weekend, Olaolu asserted that Nigerians are “hungry” for a change and that the Labour Party is ready to take over governance from the APC.

“The Labour Party is set to take over governance from the APC-led federal government in 2027 because Nigerians are already hungry for the LP,” he said. “Today, there is no opposition party except the Labour Party. The PDP has been infiltrated by the powers that be, and many of its members are already joining us.”

He also described the recent Supreme Court ruling affirming Senator Nenadi Usman’s Caretaker Committee as divine intervention that helped reunify the LP. “Our doors are open to all. With the current state of the nation, people know the right path to follow,” Olaolu said.

Assuring Nigerians of better governance, he promised that the LP would transform the economy and restore hope to citizens if voted into power in 2027.

“If we could get over six million votes in the 2023 presidential election, we will triple that number come 2027,” he declared. “Nigerians are pleading with the Labour Party to reconcile and rebuild ahead of 2027 — and we are now one formidable, unified party.”

Olaolu concluded by urging LP members to focus on unity and restructuring, stating that the party is back on its feet and ready to serve the nation.
