Rose Idibia, mother of popular Nigerian singer 2Face, has finally met her son’s new lover, Natasha Osawuru.
This meeting comes two months after Rose publicly accused Natasha — a member of the Edo State House of Assembly — of allegedly holding her son hostage using traditional beads. The accusations followed a turbulent period in the singer’s personal life.
DAILY NEWS ONLINE recalls that in January 2025, 2Face announced his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, through a post on his Instagram page. Mere hours after the announcement, the music star introduced Natasha as his new partner, sparking widespread reactions from fans and fellow celebrities alike.
In a viral video shared shortly after, Rose Idibia expressed concerns over her son’s well-being, claiming he was not in his right mind. She pleaded with Natasha to remove the traditional beads from 2Face’s neck and hands and even petitioned the Department of State Services (DSS), alleging that her son was missing.
However, tensions appear to have eased. A new video that surfaced online on Sunday shows 2Face and Natasha visiting his mother, suggesting that the family might be on the path to reconciliation.
