Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen delivered a standout performance on Sunday, scoring his 31st goal of the season as Galatasaray cruised to a 5-1 victory over Eyupspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
Facing early doubts about his move to Istanbul, Osimhen silenced critics with a dazzling display of skill and leadership. The 26-year-old was influential from the outset, assisting Roland Sallai for Galatasaray’s opener before setting up Lucas Torreira to double the lead after halftime.
Osimhen then got on the scoresheet himself, firing home in the 71st minute to make it 3-0 and effectively seal the win for the league leaders.
Substitute Alvaro Morata added two quick goals to extend Galatasaray’s advantage, while Eyupspor managed a consolation goal through Luccas Claro late in the match.
With Sunday’s performance, Osimhen has now registered 31 goals across all competitions this season, including 22 in the Super Lig. His contributions continue to underline his importance to Galatasaray’s title ambitions.
