Solomon Buchi Counters Falz’s Claim That Fornication Is Not a Sin

Date:

Popular Nigerian writer and influencer Solomon Buchi has publicly disagreed with singer and activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, over a recent controversial statement on fornication.

Falz stirred online debate after declaring on X (formerly Twitter) that “fornication is not a sin.” His remark sparked a flurry of reactions, particularly from religious communities who viewed the statement as misleading and unbiblical.

Responding in the comments section, Buchi firmly disagreed with the singer’s stance. “You’re wrong,” he wrote, stressing that the Bible, not popular opinion, determines what is right.

He went further to clarify his position, quoting scripture to reinforce the sanctity of marriage. “Fornication is a sin. You’re wrong, the Bible is right. Marriage is honourable, bed undefiled,” he stated.

Buchi’s response has gained support from many online users who share his conservative views, while others continue to defend Falz’s freedom of expression and question traditional religious interpretations.

The ongoing exchange has reignited conversations on morality, religion, and personal freedom in Nigeria’s increasingly vocal digital space.
