Manchester United are on the verge of signing Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, with the club expected to activate his £62.5 million release clause following the end of the Premier League season.
While direct talks between United and Wolves are yet to begin, discussions are anticipated to start soon. Cunha is reportedly enthusiastic about the move, seeing United as a global football giant despite their recent struggles.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has impressed since joining Wolves from Atletico Madrid in 2022, netting 27 goals and providing 13 assists in 63 league matches.
Although several Premier League and Saudi clubs have shown interest, Cunha is said to favour a switch to Old Trafford. A source told Sky Sports News that the forward “loves United,” and a deal is close to being finalised.
