Nollywood actress and singer Angela Okorie has proudly highlighted her flawless visa approval history and extensive international travel, especially to the United States, which she says she has visited regularly for over 12 years.
In a recent Instagram story, Angela shared images of her old Nigerian passports as evidence of her consistent global movement. Despite her frequent travels, she made it clear that living outside Nigeria is not an option for her.
Reflecting on the struggles many Nigerians face with foreign immigration systems, Angela acknowledged the stigma often attached to Nigerian passports at international borders. She described how her passport is sometimes met with skepticism, yet she has managed to navigate these challenges successfully.
Addressing newcomers who have recently begun traveling and flaunting their journeys on social media, Angela advised them to stay humble and patient.
“If I tell you I have never been rejected a visa before, will you believe? I love being a citizen of America but my problem na I go gree stay?? I have been going to America for over 12 years. I just like as I dey enter every country wey I want with my Naija passport. But this our Naija passport, once Oyinbo see am, next na step aside,” she wrote.
She added a note of caution:
“If you step me aside when you open my passport, na only you go tell me to go. Some of y’all just started making trips, e still get people wey pass me for making trips. So calm down and take life easy, you will get there.”
Angela’s message resonated with many Nigerians who relate to the difficulties of international travel but also encourages perseverance and humility.
