Nigerian Singer Mr P Opens Up on Split from Twin Brother and P-Square Duo

Date:

Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P from the iconic music duo P-Square, has spoken candidly about his split from his twin brother, Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy. In a recent interview with Cool FM Lagos, Mr P shared that there is a distinct joy in pursuing a solo career after years of performing together.

He urged fans to respect their decision to part ways professionally, explaining that although they tried to maintain the duo, it ultimately did not work out.

“There’s a joy that comes with going solo. Please respect our decisions. We’ve tried it, it’s not working,” Mr P said.

This revelation comes after Paul Okoye confirmed in August last year that P-Square had once again disbanded. The duo originally split in 2016 but reunited briefly in 2021 before deciding to go separate ways once more.

Fans of P-Square, one of Nigeria’s most beloved musical acts, continue to watch closely as both brothers focus on their individual careers.
