Nigerian actress Adunni Ade has issued a stern warning to media outlets circulating a viral report claiming her beauty hasn’t earned her a partner.
Over the weekend, the 48-year-old actress was widely misquoted in unsourced reports suggesting she blamed her single status on her appearance. The claim quickly sparked controversy online.
Reacting via a post on X, Adunni labelled the story as fake news and gave a 24-hour ultimatum to all platforms to delete the report.
She accused the outlets involved of spreading misinformation to boost engagement and warned of legal consequences if her demand is ignored.
“I kindly request you to take down this post within 24 hours to prevent further action involving my legal team,” she stated.
“I don’t appreciate the fact that you are using my name to peddle false news and articles with no verifiable source just to generate engagement.”
