Popular Nigerian content creator Chukwueze Odinaka, widely known as Mama Uka, has issued a public warning to his male admirers, particularly those within the entertainment industry, over unsolicited gay advances.
In a video posted to his Instagram page, Mama Uka expressed frustration over persistent messages from men seeking a romantic relationship with him, despite his repeated clarification that he is straight. The comedian, known for his humorous skits and cross-dressing characters, stated that he had tried to handle the situation respectfully in private but has now reached a breaking point.
“This message is for my colleagues and others who don’t want to respect themselves,” he said. “If anyone comes to my DM again as my fellow man to ask me out, I will screenshot it and post. I won’t mind your status. And you know Nigerian blogs like that kind of news — they will post you. This is the last warning.”
Mama Uka added that he is a father and hails from Enugu Ezike, a place he described as sacred, emphasizing that such behaviour is unacceptable to him. “I have tried to be mature about this by telling you privately that I’m straight… We don’t misbehave,” he stated.
The skit maker’s message has sparked a wave of reactions online, with some users supporting his stance while others have questioned his approach, citing concerns about privacy and potential homophobia.
