ENUGU, May 29, 2025 — The residents of Mburubu community in Nkanu East Local Government Area have lauded Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for the remarkable progress achieved in Enugu State during his first two years in office.
In a congratulatory statement marking Governor Mbah’s two-year anniversary, Chief Dr. Jerry Patrick Onuokaibe, CEO of First Choice Afro Villa Ltd and Mburubu Construction Company, commended the Governor for a leadership style centered on development, service to humanity, and genuine change.
“Governor Mbah came prepared to change Enugu. His impact is not just visible—it speaks volumes,” Chief Onuokaibe declared in the statement shared with journalists in Enugu on Thursday.
The statement highlighted the administration’s ambitious infrastructure projects, including the construction of over 100 kilometers of strategic roads across the state, ensuring every political ward benefits from at least 10 kilometers of new or rehabilitated roads. Specifically for Mburubu, the once-neglected Mburubu–Nkereffi and Mburubu–Nara–Nome roads have been revitalized and integrated into the broader state infrastructure agenda.
Chief Onuokaibe emphasized that Governor Mbah’s leadership has restored public confidence, especially among citizens previously disillusioned by governance. He cited ongoing rehabilitation of schools, improvements in healthcare facilities, and targeted efforts to bridge the rural-urban divide as key achievements.
The community pledged its unwavering support for Governor Mbah’s administration, vowing continued cooperation to realize the vision of a “New Enugu.”
“It is with great joy that we, the people of Mburubu, join the good people of Enugu State to celebrate Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s two years in office,” the statement read.
“Since assuming office in 2023, His Excellency has brought a new kind of leadership focused on development, service, and real change. Enugu is wearing a new look because of his tireless efforts and purposeful actions.”
“These roads are not just about movement; they are opening up our communities and connecting us to better opportunities. The work Governor Mbah is doing is visible for all to see—schools, hospitals, roads, and clean water projects,” Chief Onuokaibe added.
He noted, “Our farmers can now transport their produce with ease, children travel to school on safer roads, and life is becoming easier because someone at the top is doing the right thing.”
Chief Onuokaibe concluded by urging other communities in Enugu State to join hands with Governor Mbah in building a prosperous and united Enugu.
