Speed Darlington Faces Police Complaint Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct, Says Isaac Fayose

Date:

Isaac Fayose, brother to former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, has revealed that the 15-year-old girl at the centre of Speed Darlington’s recent confession is preparing to file a formal complaint with the police.

Controversy erupted after the entertainer, known as Akpi, claimed during an Instagram live session that he had a sexual encounter with an underage girl. Though Speed Darlington later stated the confession was a prank to promote a new song, public outrage has continued to mount.

In a video shared on Instagram, Isaac Fayose condemned the incident and the lawlessness surrounding child protection in Nigeria. He confirmed that the alleged victim, along with her mother, will be making an official statement to law enforcement.

“Akpi was thinking it was a joke, but unfortunately for him, we now have a victim coming forward to write a statement at the police station with her mother,” Fayose said. “You’re going to be the latest pedophile in Nigeria… This one, you can’t sweep under the carpet.”

The case has sparked wider concern over the safety of children online and the need for stronger enforcement of child protection laws.
