Former Big Brother Naija star Queen Mercy Atang has opened up about why she unfollowed her husband, David Oyekanmi, on Instagram.
The couple, who got married in March 2024, had sparked rumours of marital trouble after Queen Mercy deleted their wedding photos and unfollowed him on social media just months into their marriage.
In a viral video shared on her page, Mercy explained that her actions were aimed at protecting their relationship.
“I was trying to take my marriage off social media because my husband’s handle is out there, with a lot of ladies sliding into his DM to say both positive and negative things. I just want to protect my marriage and reduce some of the things I put out there,” she said.
Her decision highlights the challenges of maintaining privacy and trust in the digital age.
