Rapper Falz Reveals He May Not Raise His Children in Nigeria Due to Security Concerns

Date:

Popular rapper and activist Folarin Falana, known as Falz, has disclosed that he might not raise his children in Nigeria.

Speaking on the Dear Ife Series podcast hosted by Ifedayo Agoro, Falz cited his activism-related threats alongside the country’s ongoing security and economic challenges as key reasons for his hesitation.

When asked if he would raise his kids in Nigeria, Falz said, “Ah! That’s a deep question… It’s something I can’t actually say ‘yes’ to because of what we are talking about — the insecurity in the country, threats due to my activism, and Nigerians’ docility.”

He added, “It’s so sad. But I can’t also outrightly say ‘no’ because I’m pro-Nigerian and I really believe that we can actually get it right. But I don’t know, I don’t know, but let’s see [laughs].”

Falz is currently single and does not have children yet. His candid remarks reflect the concerns many Nigerians share about raising families amid ongoing national challenges.
