The Super Falcons of Nigeria earned a confident 2-0 victory over the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in an international friendly on Tuesday at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade led the charge, scoring both goals in the first half. She opened the scoring in the 19th minute from the penalty spot after being fouled inside the box. Ajibade then doubled Nigeria’s lead in the 43rd minute, converting a precise cross from Babajide Omorinsola.
Cameroon pushed hard in the second half, but Nigeria’s defence—led by Payne Antionette and Isah Sikiratu—stood strong to keep a clean sheet and seal the win.
