Saudi Pro League champions Al-Hilal are stepping up their efforts to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, with newly appointed manager Simone Inzaghi reportedly approving the move.
Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Turkish side Galatasaray, is set to return to Napoli but is expected to leave the Italian club permanently this summer.
Despite interest from top European clubs, Al-Hilal remain confident of securing the 25-year-old’s signature. The Nigerian forward’s contract includes a €75 million release clause, which the Saudi side are willing to activate.
Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on Wednesday via X, noting that Al-Hilal are in talks with Osimhen’s camp, and that the deal has received the green light from Inzaghi.
Osimhen, a key figure for Nigeria’s Super Eagles, could become one of the biggest African stars to join the Saudi league if the deal goes through.
