Popular Nigerian actress Ruby Ojiakor has responded to online criticism over her choice of wedding venue.
Her white wedding took place last weekend at St. Philips Anglican Church — her husband’s place of worship. The decision sparked backlash from some fans, who questioned why she didn’t marry in her own church.
Addressing the issue on Instagram, Ruby explained that she chose her husband’s church because he fully married her and is the head of their family.
She wrote:
“Wedded in my husband’s church because he married me in full. He is the head of the family. Please, when it gets to your turn, do as it pleases you, ok? God bless you all and stop dragging me unnecessarily.”
