UK-based Nigerian reality star Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has criticised the conduct of some Nigerian pastors, following a viral incident involving Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on the Rock Church.
Tacha claimed that 90 per cent of Nigerian pastors would not get away with their actions if they were outside the country. She made the statement while reacting to a viral video showing Pastor Adefarasin confronting a car spotter with what appeared to be a pistol-like object.
Although Adefarasin denied the object was a firearm and claimed the car spotter was aggressive, Tacha dismissed his explanation, accusing him of gaslighting the public.
“Everybody saw the video. From the video, we can tell who the aggressor was,” she said in a video shared on her X handle. “That boy was even hailing the pastor. I don’t see what he did wrong.”
Tacha also condemned church members who supported the pastor, calling them “gullible.” She added, “The kind of Christianity they practice in Nigeria would shut down their churches abroad within a year.”
She further referenced past allegations against the pastor and warned against hypocrisy, stating that if a public figure like Seyi Tinubu or Wike had acted the same way, social media would be in uproar.
“Let’s stop being hypocrites,” she said.
