Nigerian singer and activist Charly Boy, whose real name is Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, has opened up about taking suggestive nude photos three decades ago, attributing the move to his confidence in his physique at the time.
In a post shared on his X handle on Tuesday, the 73-year-old performer revealed that he had a “banging body” and couldn’t resist capturing it on camera, despite being married.
“Thirty years ago, I took some suggestive nude pictures because I knew I had a banging body,” he wrote. “The women no let me rest even when they all knew I was married.”
Charly Boy drew a parallel between himself and his late father, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa, whom he described as also being a ladies’ man during his youth at Achimota College in Ghana.
“I heard stories of my beloved late father when he was single and young. Rumours had it that women no let the fine Bobo rest. He was always showing off his body ’cos he was a gym rat too,” he added.
Concluding the post with a humorous nod to their similarities, Charly Boy wrote, “Yea! You can say, na my papa born me.”
