Daddy Showkey Reveals Pasuma Fed His Family for Three Years After 2007 Accident

Date:

Veteran Nigerian singer, Daddy Showkey, has revealed that Fuji music star Alabi Pasuma took care of his family for three years while he was hospitalised following a serious accident in 2007.

The revelation came during a recent celebrity event where Pasuma joined Daddy Showkey on stage. In a heartfelt tribute captured in a now-viral video, Daddy Showkey recounted how Pasuma stood by him when others in the industry turned their backs.

According to the “Galala” crooner, the accident kept him in the hospital for three years, during which Pasuma was the only friend who stepped up to support his family.

“You see this man, he stood by me during bad times and good times,” Daddy Showkey told the audience.
“Many people didn’t see me in public or sing for years because I had an accident in 2007. I was in the hospital for three years. Pasuma was the one taking care of my family. I can never forget him in my life.”

He went on to reveal how painful it was when other industry colleagues ignored him, even when he made efforts to visit them.

“After I recovered, I visited others, but they didn’t give me the opportunity to see them, not to talk of helping. When I got to their houses, they would tell me they were not around — even when they were inside,” he said.

The emotional moment has drawn widespread praise for Pasuma’s loyalty and compassion, as fans and celebrities alike commend the enduring friendship between the two music icons.
