APC Schedules NEC Meeting for July 24 to Elect New National Chairman

Date:

ABUJA – The National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), led by Ali Bukar Dalori, has scheduled a meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) for July 24 to elect a new national chairman.

The decision followed Monday’s NWC meeting, where Dalori formally took over leadership after the resignation of former chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje last Friday.

Briefing journalists after the meeting at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, Deputy National Secretary Barrister Festus Fuanter said the NEC gathering will provide a platform for the party to nominate and ratify a new national chairman.

He also confirmed that a formal notice of the upcoming NEC meeting has been sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
