LAGOS – With the Lagos State local council elections fast approaching, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Amuwo Odofin Local Government has appointed veteran journalist and media strategist, Kola Folorunso, as Secretary of the party’s Media Campaign Committee.
Folorunso, who currently serves as Director of the PLS Independent Media (PIM), brings nearly two decades of journalism and political communication experience to the role. He is tasked with driving strategic media engagement for the APC in Amuwo Odofin and amplifying the campaigns of the party’s chairmanship candidate, Prince Olanrewaju Ismail Sanusi Adedimeji, and councillorship aspirants across the council area.
His appointment was endorsed by Apostle Ayodele Ogungbiye, the APC Chairman in Amuwo Odofin and the party’s chairmanship candidate.
Folorunso previously served as Chief Press Secretary to former Executive Chairman Comrade Ayodele Adebowale Christopher and later as Media Special Adviser to the current council chairman, Engineer Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh. He is also known for his contributions to Vanguard Newspaper and his deep involvement in local political communications.
His new role is seen as a strategic move to bolster the APC’s image and outreach in the local government, leveraging his media expertise to ensure effective campaign messaging and voter engagement.
The appointment takes immediate effect as the party intensifies preparations for the forthcoming polls.
