Nigerian singer and producer, Young John, has admitted that superstar Davido’s wealth often makes him feel financially intimidated — but also serves as motivation to push harder in his career.
The ‘Go Hard Or Go Home’ hitmaker made the revelation during a sideline interview at the ongoing Paris Fashion Week in France. When asked if he had ever met someone who made him feel broke, Young John didn’t hesitate.
“Too many times, bro. Davido,” he said. “Whenever I see his money, I’m like, I need to work hard and drop more songs.”
Despite the awe, Young John, who began his career as a producer under Olamide’s YBNL Nation, praised Davido’s success as a driving force behind his own ambitions.
Known for producing chart-toppers for the likes of Lil Kesh and Olamide, Young John transitioned into singing in recent years — a move he described in 2024 as accidental, but one that has since launched him into the spotlight as a solo artist.
