Former France international Alexandre Lacazette has completed a move to Saudi Pro League newcomers Neom SC, the club confirmed on Tuesday, following the expiration of his contract with Olympique Lyonnais.

The 34-year-old striker, who previously had a successful stint with Arsenal, returns to the Middle East scene alongside fellow former Lyon teammate Said Benrahma, as Neom bolster their squad ahead of their debut season in the Saudi top flight.

Lacazette rejoined Lyon in 2022 after five seasons at Arsenal and leaves as one of the club’s all-time greats, ranking second on Lyon’s all-time scoring chart with 201 goals.

Neom have been active in the transfer market following their promotion from the Saudi second division. On Monday, the club also confirmed the signing of Ivorian midfielder Amadou Kone from Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims, as they continue assembling a competitive squad for the 2025/26 season.
