LAGOS — Yinka Theisen has opened up about the circumstances that led to her romantic relationship with Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Linc Edochie, revealing that it began after he claimed his estranged wife, Amaka Paula, had been unfaithful to him.
Linc Edochie, who married Amaka Paula in December 2010 and shares two children with her, got engaged to Theisen in May 2025. However, their relationship took a dramatic turn just a month later when Linc reportedly ended things with her over her involvement in the ongoing divorce controversy between his brother, Yul Edochie, and Queen May.
Reacting to the breakup and media buzz surrounding their relationship, Theisen spoke in an interview with actor Uche Maduagwu. She revealed that her relationship with Linc started after he confided in her about serious allegations against his estranged wife.
“I started a relationship with him after he told me a very, very sad thing about how his wife was sleeping around in Abuja with all the Alhajis… and that she’s a weed head. She smokes weed every day,” Theisen said.
She further alleged that Linc claimed his ex-wife neglected their child’s medical needs. “He said she withdraws the medication of their last child that had seizures,” she added.
According to Theisen, she offered emotional support to the actor during a difficult period in his life and was deeply hurt by the sudden end of their engagement. “What Linc did to me, I’m shocked. I can’t lie to you. I was there for him during a tragic family event. I came to stay with him in Lagos and supported him,” she said.
Her revelations come amid heightened public attention on the Edochie family, particularly due to the ongoing marital controversies involving Linc’s younger brother, Yul Edochie.
