VIRGINIA, USA — Nigerian-American country music star Collins Obinna Chibueze, popularly known as Shaboozey, has expressed deep pride in his Nigerian heritage as he celebrates his latest collaboration with Afrobeats heavyweight Burna Boy.
The rising global sensation described his feature on the new track ‘Change Your Mind’ as a “homecoming,” despite being born and raised in Woodbridge, Virginia, to Nigerian immigrant parents.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday, Shaboozey shared his excitement over the joint project with Burna Boy, writing:

Shaboozey, born on May 9, 1995, began his music journey in 2014 with his debut single ‘Jeff Gordon’. He rose to international fame after being featured on Beyoncé’s critically acclaimed 2024 album Cowboy Carter.
