Popular Nollywood actress Kemisola Apesin, also known as Kemity or Sidi, has shed light on the personal circumstances that led her to have two children by different men.
During an interview on the Talk to B podcast hosted by actress Biola Bayo, Kemity responded to criticism from social media trolls who have targeted her over her family life. She explained that she became pregnant while in secondary school, just before writing her SSCE exams. According to her, her mother insisted she complete her education rather than marry the man responsible for the pregnancy.
Kemity disclosed that the father of her first child later died under mysterious circumstances in a Nigerian hotel shortly after returning from Malaysia. She said he had not informed anyone of his return and was found dead with only $300 in his possession. She believes he may have been robbed before his death.
Following the tragic loss, she moved on with her life and eventually met the father of her second child while undergoing computer training. They had a court wedding, but their relationship deteriorated due to his extramarital affairs. The situation worsened after he claimed that his spiritual adviser told him he could not succeed in life unless he separated from her.
Kemity stressed that it was never her intention to leave her husband or have children with different fathers, but life took unexpected turns. She added that people often judge without understanding the full story and that her focus remains on caring for her children.
