Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Gaise Baba, has praised the spiritual depth of Pastor Lawrence Oyor, describing his anointing as “ridiculous” and “dangerous,” but refined with wisdom and excellence.
Speaking during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Gaise Baba opened up about the success of the viral remix of his song ‘No Turning Back’, which features Pastor Oyor. The remix, released in May 2025, has since become a sensation on social media, with many celebrities and fans taking part in a trending dance challenge.
When asked why he collaborated with Pastor Oyor, Gaise Baba clarified that the initiative came from the clergyman himself.
“I didn’t go to him for the remix. Technically, he came to me for the remix. He loved the song, and when we met, he was like, ‘let’s do something about it.’ I was surprised,” Gaise Baba said.
He went on to commend the spiritual gifts of the Davidic Generation Church leader:
“He has a dangerous and ridiculous anointing. He’s from an interesting heritage of deliverance ministry, and God has added wisdom to it. So now it is not raw anointing — it’s refined and packaged. There’s wisdom and excellence attached to his raw anointing, and that’s a dangerous combination.”
The collaboration has been widely received, with many describing the song as both spiritually powerful and musically uplifting.
