A heated online feud erupted Tuesday night between US rap superstar Nicki Minaj and R&B singer SZA, sending fans into a frenzy and drawing widespread attention on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
The spat began when Minaj launched an explosive rant targeting Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) executive Punch, accusing him of bullying her. While SZA didn’t directly reference anyone, she posted a cryptic message urging someone not to “fall for the bait,” a comment Minaj took as a subtle jab.
In a fiery response, Minaj hurled personal insults at the “Snooze” singer, calling her “ugly” and claiming she sounds like “a f**king dead frog.”
Unfazed, SZA replied that she wasn’t bothered by the remarks. She later clarified to a fan that her original post wasn’t aimed at anyone in particular. However, her explanation failed to quell the tension.
Minaj continued her tirade, boasting about her international success and diminishing SZA’s impact in the music industry. In a now-viral post, Minaj wrote, “If every song you’ve ever done vanished right now, the music business wouldn’t even miss you. I’ve been to countries that never heard of you.”
The rapper further bragged about performing at stadiums with crowds of 80,000, claiming SZA had never achieved such milestones. “B*tch, what have you ever done besides yodel with auto-tune that needed retuning?” she wrote.
Minaj ended the rant by accusing SZA of staying silent while her record label executive allegedly bullied and harassed her, calling SZA “a dirty mangy cunt” in a final outburst.
As of Wednesday morning, neither TDE Punch nor SZA had issued further public statements regarding the dispute. The online drama continues to spark debate among fans over the line between industry rivalry and personal attacks.
