Controversial Nigerian auto dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, has spoken out about the emotional toll of being separated from his five children for more than three years.
Appearing on The Honest Bunch podcast, IVD revealed that he has had no contact with his children since the tragic end of his marriage, and claimed that their maternal relatives have kept them away from him.
“They kidnapped my five kids. I’ve not seen them till now. It’s been over three years now. I’ve not seen my kids. I don’t even know how they are doing. I do not talk to them on the phone,” he lamented.
The father of five, whose late wife Bimbo died in a fire incident at their Lekki residence in October 2022, described the situation as deeply painful but said he has found peace in his new relationship with self-styled relationship therapist, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO.
When asked about allegations of infidelity in his current relationship, IVD firmly denied them, saying, “God forbid. I swear with my life.”
IVD and his late wife were married for 16 years, a union often plagued by allegations of domestic violence and mutual accusations. Her death drew widespread public attention and intensified scrutiny of the couple’s troubled history.
