Popular Nigerian singer Davido has unfollowed Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo on Instagram, following a leaked WhatsApp conversation in which she accused him of chasing clout over the late Mohbad’s case.
The private chat was shared by social media critic VeryDarkMan, showing Iyabo Ojo expressing disappointment in Davido’s public support for Mohbad while still following Naira Marley—an artist many had linked to Mohbad’s struggles.
In the message, Ojo said, “My problem is not even the black whatever, it is Davido who flew down like he claimed to fight for justice, but he still dey follow Naira Marley. That means he was chasing clout. I’m so disappointed… just fake love 001.”
Davido has since unfollowed the actress, although a check revealed she still follows him.
Mohbad passed away in 2023 under controversial circumstances, sparking nationwide protests and calls for justice. Celebrities like Davido, Falz, and Zlatan had publicly supported the campaign, including attending a candlelight procession.
Iyabo Ojo had played a prominent role in the ‘Justice for Mohbad’ movement but later expressed regret over some of her actions, including advocating for the exhumation of the late singer.
