Tufab, an associate of singer Wizkid, has accused Afrobeats star Davido of threatening him in a series of messages.
The allegation surfaced on Wednesday after Tufab shared screenshots of the purported exchange on X. In the leaked messages, Davido allegedly warned him against calling him “Osakpolo,” a name he said he disliked.
Davido reportedly identified himself as a member of the “Aye” fraternity, referring to Tufab as a “Bird,” while warning him: “My name is not osakpolo I’m warning u. Ok continue. That’s all I will say. I Dey warn u. Wetin wan happen. U be bird I be aye, Make we play d game.”
Responding publicly, Tufab denied ever calling Davido the name and distanced himself from any cult affiliation. He described Davido’s alleged threats as persistent and expressed concern for his safety.
“My life is under threat and if anything happens to me, y’all know who to hold responsible. The only reason I’m doing this is to protect myself,” he wrote.
The post has since stirred reactions on social media, with many users criticising Davido over the alleged threats.
