Nigerian juju legend, Ebenezer Obey, has dismissed viral rumours claiming he suffered a stroke and passed away.
The 82-year-old music icon addressed the speculation in a video shared on his Instagram page, describing the reports as lies.
“Enemies have come again. Stop the rumours. Ebenezer Obey is alive and well. What they have said is lies that came from the kingdom of darkness,” he said.
Obey further clarified that he had just arrived in London to take care of himself, stressing that he was not battling any health crisis.
“I’m alive, says the Lord Jesus Christ. I don’t have a stroke. I arrived in London yesterday to look after myself,” he stated.
The clarification has brought relief to fans, many of whom filled the comment section with prayers and words of encouragement.
