Veteran Nollywood actress Jumoke George has made a heartbreaking public appeal for financial assistance as she battles serious health challenges and homelessness.
In a deeply emotional video interview with fellow actress Biola Bayo, George revealed that she has been homeless and unwell for the past six years. The screen star, known for her work in Yoruba and English Nollywood films, broke down in tears as she narrated her ordeal.
“Please I need help. I’m tired, and I can’t bear it any longer. I have been home for 6 years, and currently living in the church,” she said. “Most times it’s the mummy in the church that feeds me. I have nothing to call my own.”
The actress further disclosed that she has been dealing with persistent health issues, which have left her in constant pain and unable to sleep. She said she has undergone several tests in the past but now requires critical medical investigations, including brain and heart tests, which will cost her ₦400,000.
“I don’t know where to get it from. I can’t sleep because I am always in pain. Everything is wrong with me,” she added.
Jumoke George’s emotional plea has sparked concern among fans and colleagues in the film industry, many of whom are calling for urgent support to help the veteran actress regain her health and dignity.
