NBA fines Draymond Green $50,000 for comment questioning officials’ integrity

Date:

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been fined $50,000 by the NBA for making an inappropriate comment that questioned the integrity of game officials, the league announced on Wednesday.

The comment was made during the Warriors’ 102-97 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 3 of their Western Conference semi-final series last Saturday. While the league did not disclose the exact nature of Green’s remark, it stated that his conduct violated league rules regarding public criticism of officiating.

The Timberwolves lead the best-of-seven series 3-1 heading into Game 5, scheduled for Wednesday night in Minneapolis.
