Former senator Dino Melaye has hit back at veteran entertainer Charly Boy over comments mocking his display of wealth on social media.
Charly Boy had recently suggested that Melaye’s flashy lifestyle might be masking deeper issues, stating, “Not all mental illnesses are noticeable,” after the ex-lawmaker declared himself a “limited edition” in a viral video.
In response, Melaye released a video on Thursday via Facebook accusing Charly Boy of seeking relevance by attacking him. He claimed the musician’s “destiny has been caged” and mocked his financial state, alleging that Charly Boy couldn’t fix a leaking roof or afford repairs.
“He wanted to use my name to gain popularity because his destiny has been thrown inside freezer,” Melaye said.
Charly Boy is yet to respond to the senator’s remarks.
