Popular Nigerian singer, Omah Lay, was reportedly involved in a serious car accident in Lagos on Saturday involving two Tesla trucks.
The incident was made public by UK-based music executive, Adesope Olajide, popularly known as ‘Shopsydoo’. He shared a video of the damaged vehicles on Instagram late Saturday night, thanking God that the singer emerged unhurt.
“#omahlay Tesla truck, thank God for life. Thank God he is safe, we go buy two more once that album drops. More stories to tell,” Shopsydoo captioned the video.
The short clip, now circulating widely on social media, showed the two Tesla vehicles visibly wrecked. However, no injuries were confirmed, and the extent of the damage or circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear as of press time.
Fans and fellow celebrities have since taken to social media to express relief that the artist is safe.
Omah Lay has yet to issue an official statement regarding the accident.
