Manchester City Honours Kevin De Bruyne with Mosaic and Road Dedication

Date:

Manchester City have created a lasting tribute to Kevin De Bruyne by unveiling a mosaic and renaming a road at the club’s academy in his honour.

The mosaic, depicting a celebration by De Bruyne, was revealed at the City Football Academy by club chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak. It was crafted by local artist and City fan Mark Kennedy and joins a series of tributes to club legends like Yaya Toure, Joe Hart, David Silva, Vincent Kompany, Sergio Aguero, Fernandinho, and Ilkay Gundogan.

In addition, the road linking the academy to the first-team centre has been renamed Kevin De Bruyne Crescent.

De Bruyne is set to make his final home appearance for City during Tuesday’s Premier League match against Bournemouth before leaving the club at the end of his contract in June. Since joining from Wolfsburg in 2015, the Belgium international has scored 108 goals in 420 appearances, becoming City’s most decorated player with six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups, and major international trophies including the Champions League and Club World Cup.
