Popular American musician and actress Jennifer Lopez is facing a lawsuit over copyright infringement for sharing her own red carpet pictures without authorization.
Photographer Edwin Blanco and his agency, Backgrid, have accused Lopez of posting two of their photos without permission. They are demanding $150,000 in damages per photo, bringing the total claim to $300,000.
The lawsuit alleges that Lopez used the images to promote her brand by tagging her jewelry and clothing designers in the posts. The photos in question were from Lopez’s appearance at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, where she captioned the post “GG Weekend Glamour.”
This is not the first time Lopez has faced legal action over photo rights; she was previously sued in 2019 and 2020 for sharing professionally taken pictures without clearance.
