Karimot, sister to Wunmi and sister-in-law of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has made a heartfelt public plea denying any role in the tragic death of the popular artist.
The death of Mohbad in 2023 sparked widespread controversy and speculation, with many theories circulating online. Karimot, a nurse based abroad, has been vocal in addressing some of the rumors that implicated her in the singer’s demise.
In a recent emotional video, Karimot tearfully denied any involvement, insisting she was not the nurse who administered any injection to Mohbad. She also revealed that she has faced threats to her life and pleaded with Nigerians to stop the harmful accusations.
“Nigerians, if you kill me, you just want to be wicked to me. There is nobody to take care of my kids. If my husband marries another woman, she will maltreat my kids. I don’t know anything about Mohbad’s death. I was not the nurse that injected him,” she said.
Karimot went on to say, “My death is not useful to you. Please don’t kill me. My blood will be on you all. Nigerians, you are wicked. What else do you want from me? I have no father or mother. You all have started the narrative that I was the nurse who injected Mohbad. If I was the nurse or if I was ever in the house with them before Mohbad’s demise, may I die untimely.”
Her plea underscores the intense emotional toll and public scrutiny she has endured amid ongoing debates about the circumstances of Mohbad’s death.
