Enugu Federal Lawmakers Praise Governor Peter Mbah’s Two-Year Development Achievements

Date:

ENUGU — The Enugu State House of Representatives Caucus has commended Governor Peter Mbah for his impressive progress in transforming the state since taking office two years ago.

In a midterm evaluation released by the caucus leader, Nnolim Nnaji, the lawmakers applauded Mbah’s efforts in improving road infrastructure, tackling insecurity, revitalising dormant state-owned enterprises, and fast-tracking abandoned projects.

The caucus also highlighted the governor’s significant investments in education and agriculture, particularly his focus on the agro value chain, which they believe will attract investors, create jobs, and boost the state’s economy in the near future.

“We are pleased that programmes across education, agriculture, road infrastructure, and health are being distributed evenly across the state’s 260 wards, reflecting the governor’s inclusive development approach,” the statement said.

Key ongoing projects include the construction of 260 Smart Green Schools, 260 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres, 260 Farm Estates, transport and tourism infrastructure — all contributing to Mbah’s vision of growing Enugu’s economy from $4.5 billion to $30 billion within eight years.

The caucus further praised the governor’s success in attracting both local and foreign direct investment, attributing this to improved security and infrastructure that have made Enugu a safer and more business-friendly environment.

Additionally, the lawmakers commended the ambitious urban renewal programme sweeping across all zones of Enugu metropolis, transforming the city into a vast construction site and signalling rapid development.

The caucus reaffirmed their support for Governor Mbah’s agenda, urging continued focus on sustaining the state’s growth trajectory.
