Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator Adesokan Emmanuel, widely known as Shank Comics, recently shared a humorous yet heartfelt story about his father’s religious conversion — and it all happened because of food.
During a conversation with another content creator in Canada, Shank Comics revealed that his father, originally a Muslim, converted to Christianity after a church gave him a meal when he was hungry.
He explained, “I’m a Christian. Although I have a Muslim name, Saheed. My dad was a Muslim, but there was a time he was very hungry, and a church gave him food—then he converted to Christianity. My dad is so cheap. We were just hungry.”
