Nigerian music star Davido has reunited with his first daughter, Imade Adeleke, amid his ongoing custody dispute with her mother, Sophia Momodu.
The emotional reunion comes weeks after the singer filed a lawsuit at the Lagos State High Court in April 2024, seeking joint custody of the nine-year-old. Davido had accused Sophia of denying him access to their daughter.
In response, Sophia submitted a detailed 102-paragraph counter-affidavit, alleging that the singer neglected his responsibilities as a father after she stopped having a romantic relationship with him.
Reacting to the public fallout, Sophia’s uncle and media personality, Dele Momodu, revealed that the court has referred the matter to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) for possible settlement.
On Wednesday night, Davido shared a heartwarming photo of himself with Imade, calling it the “Best day of my life.” The reunion has sparked a wave of emotional reactions from fans and well-wishers on social media.
