Renowned gospel singer Bolaji Olanrewaju, popularly known as Big Bolaji, has been laid to rest at All Souls Private Cemetery in Ido, Ibadan.
Big Bolaji passed away on April 19 at the age of 50 following a brief illness, DAILY POST reports. His burial ceremony commenced on Wednesday, drawing family, friends, and notable gospel figures to honor his life and legacy.
The final rites began at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, where a lying-in-state and memorial service were held. Prominent gospel artistes such as Tosin Bee, Mike Abdul, Bidemi Olaoba, and Yetunde Are joined comedian Woli Agba and other well-wishers to pay their final respects.
Following the memorial, a funeral procession moved to All Souls Private Cemetery, where Big Bolaji’s wife, siblings, and close family members gathered to say their last goodbyes.
The ceremony reflected the impact Big Bolaji made in the gospel music community and the deep affection held for him by fans and peers alike.
