Asake’s Ex-Manager Stevenator Opens Up on Their Split: “He Became Too Big for Me to Manage”

Date:

Stephen Nana, popularly known as Stevenator, has finally revealed why he parted ways with singer Asake, whom he managed from 2022 to 2024.

In a viral interview shared on social media, Stevenator explained that their split happened because Asake’s rise was so rapid that managing him became overwhelming.

He shared how Olamide, the YBNL boss, gave him the chance to manage Asake despite having no prior experience in artist management. Stevenator said, “I never met Asake before. I didn’t know anything about him or his songs. Asake blew up so quickly that there was no time to learn the job, so it was back to back.”

He also opened up about the personal toll the job took on him, especially on his family life. “At one point, I had two sons and didn’t have time for them. I’m a family man, and I love my wife. I had to balance my work and family, so I decided to step down because following Asake everywhere became too demanding.”

Stevenator thanked Olamide for the opportunity and reflected on the challenge of managing a fast-rising star while trying to be present for his family.
