Sancho to Leave Chelsea After Loan Deal Ends June 30

Date:

Jadon Sancho will part ways with Chelsea at the end of his loan spell on June 30, following the club’s failure to reach an agreement on personal terms for a permanent transfer.

The 25-year-old winger joined from Manchester United last summer on a loan deal that included a £25 million obligation to buy, subject to Sancho agreeing terms with Chelsea—a condition that was not met.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea will now pay a £5 million penalty for not completing the deal, allowing Sancho to explore new opportunities across England and Europe.

Sancho featured 42 times for Chelsea this season, scoring five goals and providing ten assists. He notably scored in the UEFA Europa Conference League final, helping the club win the last of the major UEFA trophies.

Sancho has made 83 appearances for Manchester United since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £85 million. Before his rise in Germany, he developed through the academies of Watford and Manchester City.
