Agriculture Ministry Postpones Prayer Sessions Amid Food Crisis

Date:

ABUJA — The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has postponed its planned prayer sessions aimed at seeking divine intervention amid rising food insecurity in the country.

An internal memo initially invited ministry staff to participate in prayer gatherings themed “Divine Intervention for Protection and National Development.” The sessions were scheduled for June 16, 23, and 30 at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja, with staff asked to attend while fasting.

However, a follow-up memo released Friday evening announced the indefinite postponement of the sessions and urged all staff to take note. No reason was given for the change.
