TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has ruled out any negotiations with the United States, citing ongoing Israeli attacks on Iran as a major obstacle to diplomacy.
Speaking during an interview on state television broadcast Friday, Araghchi revealed that Washington had made repeated overtures for serious talks. However, he stressed that Tehran would not engage in dialogue while the aggression continued.
“The Americans have repeatedly sent messages calling seriously for negotiations. But we have made clear that as long as the aggression does not stop, there will be no place for diplomacy and dialogue,” Araghchi stated.
The foreign minister is expected to travel to Geneva for discussions with European officials amid rising regional tensions. His remarks underscore Iran’s hardened stance amid escalating hostilities and diplomatic strain in the Middle East.
