BBNaija No Loose Guard housemate, DJ Flow, has revealed the emotional end of her decade-long friendship with former best friend and housemate Ruthie, saying she has chosen peace over conflict.
During the reunion episode of the BBNaija No Loose Guard edition, which began airing on June 23, 2025, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu asked DJ Flow about the cause of the pair’s public fallout.
In a candid response, DJ Flow said the friendship ended due to a growing disconnect in values and a decisive interview Ruthie granted that left her feeling disrespected.
“She knows I don’t respond to drama, not even for myself,” DJ Flow said, referring to past conversations with Ruthie about online backlash. “So it didn’t make sense to her when I didn’t engage in fights on her behalf.”
While DJ Flow expressed that she still cares for Ruthie, she admitted that their time together had run its course.
“I try not to have regrets,” she said. “But I’ve realised we go through life with people, not necessarily do life with them. That interview really made me see that maybe this person isn’t good for my energy anymore—and that’s perfectly fine.”
Reflecting on their 10-year bond, the DJ acknowledged the depth of their history but maintained that moving on was necessary for her peace of mind.
Despite the split, DJ Flow made it clear she bears no ill will: “I can support you and have your back, but I don’t have to fight your battles. It’s not my fight.”
The reunion moment has sparked widespread conversation online, with fans weighing in on loyalty, boundaries, and emotional growth.
